A night out in E14 that outlasts the bars on the dock

On the estate: the bars under Crossrail Place, the hotel rooms that keep serving late, and one or two places on Marsh Wall that carry on because the traders never left. Out of E14 the options widen quickly. Eight minutes on the Jubilee line reaches rooms that are only beginning at midnight. A drink somewhere high, a table at ten, and then wherever the night turns out to be going. Nobody plans the third part and it is better not to.
