About Roxi
Black hair worn long and plenty of it, brown eyes, and a grin that arrives before she has decided whether to let it. Roxi stands 168 cm, curvy, and dresses with a kind of confident simplicity: a fitted dress, a leather jacket over it, hair down and nothing else competing. She looks best in flat evening light, which is convenient given that she spends most of her time out here beside a dock. At 23 she has more self possession than the age suggests and a complete absence of pretence.
She is direct, cheerful and physically restless. She is blunt in English, in a way that lands as honesty rather than rudeness. Water sports are the real life: she is on a board whenever the season allows and considers a cold dock a perfectly reasonable way to spend a Sunday. She is competitive about small things and relaxed about large ones. She has no patience for an evening that consists of sitting in a low lit room describing other evenings.
Her Royal Docks evening is on the water rather than beside it. The Good Hotel, moored on Royal Victoria Dock, has a dining room and a roof that sit out on the basin, and the whole thing moves very slightly all night, which she considers a feature. From the table you look straight back across half a kilometre of flat black water to the lights on the north quay. Before or after there is the dock walk, ten minutes end to end. Pimlico is home, and she gets out here in forty minutes and thinks nothing of it.
The basin and the quays are on the Royal Docks and ExCeL page. £250 covers the hour, and the longer formats are listed on rates. One message to booking takes a date and sends back the exact meeting spot.

Booking her evening
Dinner on the dock wants three hours at £700, because nobody has ever wanted to leave after ninety minutes, and £500 across two works for drinks and the walk. Maude will confirm the dock entrance, which is easy to miss in the dark.
Her figures are the desk figures, printed in full on the rates page, and the whole arrangement runs in one thread from the first line to the confirmation.

An evening with Roxi
Eating on something that floats changes an evening and she knew that long before she could explain why. The room shifts by a degree now and then, just enough to remind you that there is half a kilometre of water under the floor. Across the basin the north quay is a line of lights on black, and every few minutes an aircraft comes down towards the runway on the far side with its landing lights on, low and slow and close enough to make people stop mid sentence. She is good company for that: no commentary, no filling the silence. Before or after, the dock walk takes ten minutes past the footbridge, and in summer she will point out the wake boarders who are still out on the water at nine.
Roxi, in her own words
Does the floor really move?
Just enough to notice and not enough to worry about. People forget within ten minutes and then remember all at once when a boat goes past.
How do I get to the dock?
DLR to Royal Victoria and a five minute walk, or twenty minutes by cab from the Wharf. The entrance is unlit, so the desk sends the exact spot.
Wakeboarding in London?
In the dock, all summer, with the towers in the background. It is the best thing in E16 and almost nobody knows it is there.

What guests have written
Nothing is written here for Roxi yet, which is usually what discretion looks like in E14. A note appears only when a guest writes one, she agrees to it, and the desk has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
