About Nora
Honey blonde, long, and worn the same way whether the evening is a dockside bar or a formal dinner: Nora does not have two versions of herself. Measure her at 166 cm, athletic, built by a decade in open water rather than a gym membership, and the eyes are hazel, reading light brown in a warm room. Her clothes are clean and unfussy, a knitted dress, a long coat, flats in the bag because she has walked the length of those halls before and knows exactly how far it is.
At 26 she is calm, dry and very good to be near when a long day is finally over, which is the point out here. She is economical in English, asking one good question instead of five polite ones. She swims outdoors all year and talks about it the way other people talk about religion. She has no interest in industry gossip and a great deal of interest in what you actually think, and she is unusually good at getting a tired man to stop talking about his morning.
Her ground is the strip between ExCeL London and the water. The exhibition halls run for a kilometre along the north side of the dock, which is a fact anyone who has walked from the east entrance to the west one already knows in their feet. She meets you at the end of it, away from the halls, and the evening starts with eight minutes by the dock where the planes drop in low over the far side towards the runway. Paddington is home; the Elizabeth line and the DLR put her here in under an hour, reliably.

Conference evenings run short, so two hours at £500 is the common booking, with £700 across three when dinner is not going to be eaten standing up. Tell the desk which end of the halls you are at and she will meet you there.

An evening with Nora
The brief here is almost always the same and she is good at it. You have been on your feet since eight, you have said the same three sentences forty times, and you do not want another room with a lanyard in it. So she takes you out of the halls and down to the dockside, where the water is flat and wide and an aircraft drops in low over the far side every few minutes with its lights on. Eight minutes of that and your shoulders drop. Dinner is nearby, or back up at the Wharf in twenty minutes by cab, and she is perfectly happy with either. What she will not do is let you spend the evening explaining your stand. She asks about something else and keeps asking until it works.

How far is it really from the Wharf?
Twenty minutes by cab, or the DLR with one change and about half an hour. Nobody believes it until they do it once.
What if I finish late?
Say so at the booking and we will start at nine rather than seven. A shifted start is fine, a surprise one is less fun for everyone.
Outdoor swimming in January?
Especially January. Three minutes in the water and the rest of the day cannot touch you. I do not expect anyone to join me.
